Pompano Fish to Die For It was one of those impromptu “let’s eat out” plans by my wife (and before anyone assumes—yes, I do my fair share in the kitchen 😄). We reached the place a bit confused—is it Paheli or Praana? The big sign says Paheli, but it’s actually Praana. Turns out, it’s like Paheli’s smaller sister—chain of Paheli, but with a different (more Kerala-style) menu. The place was completely empty, and we were the only guests. Honestly, that always makes me a bit uncomfortable being only party there... Anyway, we ordered Meen Pollichath Pompano Fish, and Mutton Biryani We originally planned to get shrimp roast, but the server suggested for fish dish instead—and I’m so glad we listened. Even though it was close to closing time, they still took about 35 minutes to prepare it fresh. And wow… what a dish! The Pomfret was absolutely loaded with masala, cooked under banana leaf—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Fish was sitting on a bed of masala that you can also eat with rice (preferably with your hands!) or Kerala parotta. Easily the star of the meal. The biryani? Just okay—nothing special. But honestly, that fish completely stole the show. In fact, the next day while driving back from work, I caught myself thinking about that fish dish again—and it genuinely made me happy. You know that feeling when a meal just stays with you? This was one of those. Ambience is traditional Indian with cute decor. Since we were the only guests, service was naturally attentive and warm. Come for the Meen Pollichath Pompano Fish. Stay for the flavors. Definitely worth it. Read more Read less

We had ordered chole bhutere, paav bhaji and rajma chawal and overall found the food to be good. Rajma chawal and chole bhutere were excellent and paav bhaji was good. It is a small restaurant however the service is very good. I will be a repeat customer and recommend the place. Read more Read less
